I’m really excited for this upcoming month, because there are so many interesting things to do this month. As the weather gets warmer, there seems to be more things to do in Philly. If you’re looking for some things to do by yourself, with your family, or with your friends, then you’ve come to the right place. Don’t get bored when there are so many things to do in Philly this month, and here are just a couple:
1. Philadelphia Flower Show

I’m personally very excited about this one. One great event that is happening this month is the Philadelphia Flower Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, which you will be able to go to from Saturday March 3rd- Sunday, March 11th. Ticket prices range depending on whether you’re purchasing for an adult, student, or child, and when you purchase your tickets. You can find ticket prices and buy tickets here. The Philadelphia Flower show is produced by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. The theme this year is “Wonders of Waters. ” Garden designs will include tropical jungles, forests and woodlands.
2. Philadelphia Restaurant Festival
If you love food (who doesn’t!), check out the Philadelphia Restaurant Festival on March 20th, for general admission from 6 pm-9pm. VIPs can come as early as 5. Tickets start from $49.95, and you can purchase tickets here.
It’s going to be at the Crystal Tea Room, and remember that the event is 21+. Participating restaurants include Devil’s Alley, Fogo De Chao and Fox and Hound Sports Tavern.
3. Philadelphia Art Week
If you’re even remotely interested in art, be sure to check out Philadelphia’s Art Week, which is free to the public. It’s a five day art exhibit, starting from Wednesday, March 7th- Sunday, March 11th, at Olo Solo Gallery West. The gallery is open on Wednesday-Saturday from 6pm-9pm, and 4pm-7pm on Sunday.
4. International Women’s Day March
The International Women’s Day March will be taking place on March 8th. The campaign theme this year is #PressforProgress. More details to come on the International Women’s Day website.
5. Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Everyone knows that when Philly celebrates, it celebrates hard. Join the party and get in the Saint Patrick’s day spirit by going to the Saint Patrick’s day parade– one of the oldest parades around. The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be taking place on Sunday March 11th, from noon to 3pm. The parade marches down Market Street from City Hall to Penn’s landing.
Whether you’re just visiting, or you’re from around Philly, there are plenty of things to do in Philly this month that will be worth your while. Have more suggestions, or just want to share your experience? Comment below!
