This week I tried a (new to me) popcorn place while I was walking on 12th Street. The store was called Go Popcorn. I really thought the store had a western movie kind of vibe, which was cool because it’s not something you see a lot of in Philly.
Go Popcorn is located at 112 South 12th Street, just in between Chestnut and Sansom streets.
The store has plenty of flavors to try from, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Popcorn flavors at Go Popcorn are: Buttery “Movie Style” Popcorn, Sweet ‘n Salty Kettle, Real Wisconsin Cheddar, Brown Butter Caramel, “Chicago Style”, Peanut Butter Cup, and Chocolate Caramel. They also have a couple new flavors of the week, and the flavors get updated every Friday. We tried the Chocolate Caramel and the Real Wisconsin Cheddar. Both flavors were really good- and the staff was really nice. He let us sample every single flavor we asked to try (basically all of them) before picking what we wanted.
You can get your popcorn in three different size bags, small, medium and large. You can also order popcorn in bulk, or set up a popcorn bar for any event. In order to set up a popcorn bar, you have to contact the store four days in advance.
I really like cool flavors in popcorn, so I’m happy that I got to try this popcorn place, and it’s in a great location with lots of options.
If you’re in the area, definitely stop by Go Popcorn for a sweet treat!
